does anyone know how we can set a custom port for this? i already have a container that's using 8008. i specified a different port in the docker-config.yml but that didn't work. npm is still trying to start on 8008. thanks.

I'm in the process of setting up the recommended server in this guide. Here is the address, but it isn't quite working yet: wss://nostr.nymsrelay.com/
I'm not sure why it isn't working yet, and am still troubleshooting.

This is a great guide, but using those specs on DigitalOcean, it is $56/month. I could do a $7/mo server, but that is about it.
