This is the tip of the iceberg when it comes to terrible legislation, I can say anecdotally that many of the younger Russians are using VPNs, all the girls are still on instagram and shitok etc

the older gen, like my wife's parents, and probably the 50+ can't be bothered to do anything so they just accept that youtube doesn't work anymore etc

this kind of stuff does 100% make most people learn about vpns for sure, anyone with half a brain knows to be careful now with what they are posting on social media and even in group chats etc, people are snitching on each other left and right
