To me it seems QBs are very similar to the Opening batsmen in Cricket. Most of the times the openers get advantage because they lay the foundation. Isn't it same with the QBs?

Yes, the quarterback is the most important player on a football team so every team is trying to get a top QB.

Yet he is projected to go #1 in the draft. Just goes to show how much QBs get pushed up the board.
