I had already verbally agreed to another job but I took a risk and ended up accepting a job across the country in a city I wasn't familiar with and had basically no family or friends. I started a business with the guy and even though the SEO company I joined had many rounds of layoffs which eventually included me our side gig was still going and we ended up selling it. Not everything went well but coming back to Houston at the request of my wife I got my first DNA job and it seems to have worked out well. I was very worried at the time though
