This article from scoresby alerted me to the RFC regarding crypto regulation. After making my comment on the RFC website, I found myself dissatisfied with the forum and request on several fronts. I thought it might be neat to have a discussion thread here. So, I'll start by linking my comment.
If others want to offer their thoughts on this thread, I think it might be useful. No place like the blockchain for a discussion on the blockchain.
(I was gonna put this in privacy, but 750 sats is steep for a discussion thread)
The only comment they deserve is "GFYS". All this is just to pretend that the clampdown on our liberties will happen after extensive consultations, and hence approval, of the people.

If the government asks for input, and no one dissents, who is gonna be to blame do you suppose?

Your comment argues with Bank Secrecy Act that already legalized screening your transactions with no due process. So your arguments will be thrown away immediately. A better dissent is if everyone just type the four letters I mentioned.

shrugs. Do you think this is the first time I've experienced having my arguments being thrown away immediately?

No ))

You'd be right. The point isn't whether or not the argument is thrown away, but rather, the point is giving people the opportunity to throw it away or do something else with it.

Your comment is too long and off topic. They did not ask for opinions on whether the total surveillance is good or bad. They want citizens' input on whether these innovative methods will be robust enough, to make them even more effective.
If all comments are anonymous, why do they block Tor browser?

So your solution, clearly, is to shut up. That's fine. You have that right. You are also missing the entire point of what I'm saying, and that's fine.

And maybe Africa is actually Antarctica. They asked for input, I gave it, and I'm asking others if they have anything they'd like to add.
