This is an old, classic bitcoin article written by gwern in 2011. We can all still learn a lot from it. The premise: bitcoin is ugly, and that’s a good thing.

The first post got me thinking about classic articles, and of course this one by Nick Szabo came to mind. Turns out I was the first of many stackers to post it on SN, so excuse me if I highlighted one of my own posts.
