Swan Bitcoin acquired Specter Solutions back in 2022, with the intention to "give Swan customers end-to-end services on their Bitcoin journey from complete beginner to self-sovereign Bitcoiner by providing deep integrations with Specter’s leading self-custody solution and other tools over time."

Today, Swan announced that they are transferring ownership of the Specter project to a newly-formed non-profit in Switzerland, The Specter Association. The association's president is Schnuartz and the vice president is somebody named Mike who "helped a lot with development."

Specter is a pretty cool desktop wallet and DIY hardware signer project. Great for multisig. There hadn't been much development on the project in the last year and I was worried that Swan was going to abandon it, but this seems like a great way to keep it going.
