I have a question about receiving on-chain payments from BTCpay server.
I went under wallets, bitcoin, receive, and copied the address there with a label. I see the confirmation in mempool, so I am unsure why I do not see it in my cold storage wallet. The xpub and derivation path are correct in BTCpay.
I don't think I need to increase the gap limit, but I could be wrong. Maybe the new address from BTCpay is the issue. Sparrow might not see it in the list.
I am using Sparrow wallet.

I fixed it. Had to increase the gap limit in sparrow to 300

In Sparrow, do you see the same exact address in your wallet?
Are you definitely connected, in Sparrow? That means the little slider in the bottom right needs to be either green or yellow, not gray.

I do yeah. I was able to fix it. Had to increase the gap limit to 300 in sparrow

So before you changed the gap limit, the address showed up in the list of addresses, but it showed up with zero sats?
