A couple of weeks ago I bought a PC to run my BTC node. I installed Ubuntu and, with some help from a BTC friend, I managed to install Umbrel using Docker.
The question for this post is: What other apps do you use on Umbrel? Which ones do you consider a must?
Also, I'd like to know if there is a way to start Umbrel from another PC, for example, after a power cut. My node has no keyboard or screen.
Thanks!

You don't even need to install Umbrel for that. Just install a BTC node (whatever software you want) and done. Umbrel is just a fancy web UI interface for multiple apps. But for more apps you put, more trouble you will have. Forget all those garbage apps. Install minimum. idk why is pushed this idea that Umbrel is a node...
If you just want a BTC node and eventually a LN node you only need:
  • A Bitcoin node software (Core, btcd, Knots, whatever you like)
  • A LN implementation: LND, CLN, LDK, whatever
  • optional a LN management app like Thunderhub or RTL or not even, you could use Zeus or Bitbanana for that.
Which ones do you consider a must?
NONE
Done. All others are optional. Keep it simple if is just a BTC node. All other apps non-BTC related you could use them in any PC or better with a NAS. A BTC node should be clean as possible from all other garbage.

If you have a power loss the machine can be set to respond in the BIOS. Set it to power on after power loss. Umbrel should automatically start on boot if you set it up right.
You can ssh into this machine and if you install something like Tailscale you can access it from anywhere via the VPN.

I run a node by itself on one Pi. You could run LND if you want to do that too.
On a separate Pi I run PhotoPrism (my photo album), Passky Server (password management), and NextCloud (but don't really use it).
I want to do more, but with limited free time you gotta prioritize.

Electrs - Connect your node to your wallets Mempool - Blockchain & mempool explorer for checking your confirmed and unconfirmed txs and fee rates Tailscale - By far the biggest game changer for me. For connecting to your node over the internet instead of Tor. You also have to have it installed on your phone or any device you want to connect to your node from. When you use Tailscale, you can connect your wallets to your node's Tailscale address, instead of the Tor or local addresses you will find in Electrs (you still have to install Electrs). This way, you don't have to connect to Tor (incredibly slow and unreliable) to access your node.

Lightning Node Elements Core PeerSwap
Now you have three types (layers) of Bitcoin and can swap among them to keep your Lightning channels balanced. You can find other nodes running peerswap here.

Well umbrel is a personal server in which you can run many applications as per your requirements. But to run BTC node you don't need umbrel you can just do it independently in your Linux machine.

Whats the difference between BTC explorer and mempool?
