Following on from @ek ‘s post about alcohol I did some research and was shocked to learn I was drinking more than recommended by the Surgeon General.

I decided I needed to do something about it, so I quickly drew up my own set of guidelines and I am now well within the recommended daily intake.

You should make the difference between alcoholics and drinkers. Are not the same. Some people could have a very good liver that works perfectly fine with large amount of alcohol, without damaging their health or behavior.

I personally could drink 15-20 beers and you not even notice it, but somebody else after 2-3 beers is sleeping on the floor and forget who is it.

Is all about if you are capable to stop where is your limit and if you know your limits, especially if you drink in public (with audience). I myself I do not like to drink too much in public. If I am with friends in a bar I always drink barely minimum to not be an asshole that drink water.

Drinking alcohol is not for everybody. And usually alcoholics are mixing all kind of types of alcohol... and that is where they get mad. Big mistake.

Drinking a lot of water (especially weak in minerals and electrolytes) is what makes you throw up in shower after making effort. Try to hydrate yourself better.

But I think in my case, it was not only that, I already felt occasionally like throwing up the past days but didn't. Happens when I smoke too much.

Nicotine tolerance is something that builds over time, still having a nicotine tolerance is one of the worst things that you could do to your body.

Having said that, it's been 10 years that I smoke, I think, and still get dizzy if I don't wait something like 1 hour between each cigarette. So the problem is how your body reacts to blood pressure variances! Don't overdo it because it's twice as harmful as smoking in general lol

Oh. OK. This changes things a bit. Where you tired when you had the sensation of throwing up? try to have some magnesium for the next days and maybe check your heart rate and blood pressure in those moments. P.S.: I don't know if it is smoke related but, I do have a lot of friends complaining of various things and saying things got better after dropping smoking to a minimum or zero.

Heya! I messaged @k00b about this but wondering if anyone else can help? I’ve recently noticed my sats payouts and what is awarded on SN isn’t adding up. For example I just won a 10k sats prize for Fiction month which is reflected on my post [FM] Last miner but only received 7000 in my WoS wallet? Checked a lightning decryptor and looks like the invoice was for 7k? Also can’t be lightning liquidity as was a couple days ago now. Anyone else have this or know how to solve it?

The other judges and I debated whether to do the prizes out of band or via zaps on SN.

Out of band wouldn't have had the 30% Sybil fee, but it also wouldn't have shown up in the competition rankings. And it would have been a little messy. Zaps were clean and everybody in the community could see that we did them.

I suppose we could have zapped each of the top ten 14285 sats (which nets to 10k sats) but we didn't think of that in our budget.

I'd be curious to hear your thoughts about how to approach this in future contests.

Thanks for clarifying. I didn’t realise there was a fee but makes sense to keep the platform running. I think mentioning it in the competition terms would suffice. Appreciate the zaps as know these runner up sats weren’t expected either.

Since a lot of people don’t know about the Sybil fee, I think it’d be more transparent to just show the actual prize people are gonna get, or at least make it clear there’s a 30% Sybil fee.

that's cool we rank high for sybil fee. it's not a special word or anything. it's just a literal description. i guess it's just not something that's very common yet.

the intention behind the sybil fee is to hurt, especially for big zaps since we don’t know if you’re zapping yourself.

this also means that two stackers that have equal trust have less impact together than individually. If one of them zaps 10k is more signal in this system than if both zap 5k. I think that’s the opposite of what we want unfortunately and sounds like a game breaker to this idea.

For me it's 12th result -- on page 2.

First result was obituary for one Sybil Lorraine Fee. Others were more general information about sybil attacks, sybil resistance, and then a company called sybil-something.

Interestingly, SN is the first result that uses sybil fee in the context of fees for the purpose of building sybil resistance.

Did SN coin the term sybil fee?
