It is heartbreaking!
Charlie Kirk was only 31 years old. He left behind his wife and two children.
He was killed because they could not endure his eloquence, intellect, faith, and zeal for the truth. His convictions are shared by nearly half of the American people, but he had the courage to articulate and openly defend them. This is the result when a society begins to label every differing opinion as “hate speech.”
As George Orwell once said:
“In a time of deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.”
Two children will grow up without a father, because in the America of “great freedoms,” some today cannot tolerate civilized debate.
They could not even accept it when Charlie handed them the microphone and invited them: “Come, change my mind. Let’s see if you have better arguments than I do.”
His confrontation was not merely with people who debate, but above all with a murderous ideology which, when it realizes it cannot win with words, turns to the gun.
killassassinate the really great, poignant ones.
