Hello stackers,
I wasn't sure where to post this, but I believe this territory fits well.
First of all, I do not like to infringe the law, I was raised not to do it and I believe most laws do make sense and thus are to be followed. On the other hand, following laws that do not make sense, or even worse, go against my own moral principles, is something I am not willing to do. The following question is about the latter case.
In this city traffic laws are taken rather lightly to say the least: motorcycles go through red lights, they drive with whole families, babies included and even drive at night with no lights. Most traffic laws that are common sense are simply not followed and it's really difficult to drive safely out there. There are many accidents, particularly with motorcycles, and police basically doesn't do anything to prevent it. Adding insult to injury, they now decided to put some speed cameras where there is no need at all for them, everyone drives there around 80 km/h and it's really not a problem, but the limit is set at 50 km/h. These cameras are there not for safety, but on a clear purpose to milk distracted drivers that don't know cameras are placed there, this represents a large income for the city (I even heard it's a private!)
And now to the point. Enough is enough and I want to take matters into my own hands and wreck these cameras. As I am not well aware of the art of breaking cameras down, I would like some advice on it. They are placed on tall poles 3 to 5 m high and with some nasty pokes that avoid climbers. I was thinking on an air rifle or even some paintball gun to shoot the lens. I guess going for the power source is also an option, will have to inspect further the place, but the air rifle feels like fun & effective.
Any fellow UK bladerunners out there with suggestions?
