As Statista's Katharina Buchholz shows in the chart below, using data from website Top10VPN, Nepal's social media blocks elicited the most pronounced response in terms of people looking for a way around via VPNs this year.
On September 7, VPN search volume in the country had risen almost 3,000 percent above the previous month's average - the biggest spike recorded globally this year by the source.

I feel the same, the Internet is essential for freedom and information. And although it still happens, most people use the Internet just to see Tiktok. The ruling elites are already realized that there are many who use the Internet to instruct and be freer, bring messages and experiences to others, among other things... Of course they will want to control, regulate and limit. We must continue learning and supporting everything that is decentralized. (Bitcoin, Nostr, Bitchat) This type of tools are a hesitant example of what is needed for the future.
