other than the HOPE that we are grafted into God whoever "we" are, whatever those promises may be. Ultimately, He will decide which of His promises apply, and which do not to each person.

It seems to me that far too many of our brothers have their trust in politicians and political movements and not enough in Jesus and his Church.

Absolutely. Wrong focus gets wrong results. Focus on the Heavenly Kingdom, let the politics sort themselves out.
