Interested to hear how far the stacker memory goes.
I have a few young memories, one of falling down the stairs and another one of still being in my cot as a baby and standing up, looking out the window as my nan and grandad drove off after coming to visit. I don't know how old I was, but must have been only a few years old as I was still in a cot (a crib for US stackers).
Then I think most memories start to flow from maybe 4, like I was 'online' at that point.
I have a vivid one when I was in infant school (in the UK you have like kindergarden, infant school, junior school, then secondary school) and we were all sitting on the carpet and my friend, who was too shy to ask to go to the toilet, just pissed himself on the carpet lol
I still remember the piss patch forming around him and the teacher squealing and telling us all to jump up on the tables and chairs, like this kid's piss was polonium lol
I asked him afterwards, 'Why didn't you just ask to use the toilet?' But I guess some kids are super shy.
In a funny twist, my youngest daughter loves that story and will often ask me to tell it again, so the piss legend is still alive and well.
Speaking of memories, Louis CK has a funny bit about having his first memory lol
What about you ?
My first memory dates back to when I was about 2-3 years old, I was on a blue sofa with one of those huge computers in front of me and on this computer there was a playlist with songs made by my mother and the screensaver with the 3D CGI. My brother and I spent entire afternoons listening to music there

sounds like a nice one!

It is! It makes me a little nostalgic... hahaha

I have quite a few from when I was three but only one that I know is from when I was two.
The memory is just an image of a heaping bowl of peas at daycare that I didn’t want to eat. Apparently, I completely melted down about it.

a hatred so powerful that it's become your first, and lifelong memory lol

Honestly, my first memory occurred when I was 5 year old. One day, my consciousness just sharpened and I remembered having to go to school (or not - I can’t remember which). But that was the first time I had my brain memory recorder switched on. I don’t recall anything before that moment.
You did make me recall the time I went for a photo shoot with my parents when I was 5 or 6. That was nice because my mum hasn’t been around for more than a decade. Good to think of her in such a light
reply
glad you remembered something nice, not a bad first memory!

I remember my circumcision (shortly after birth), but only because of a "heroic dose" of Psilocybin. I recalled the dull colored ceiling tiles, bright surgery lights, remembered the masked face of the doctor, and re-experienced the circular ring of pain around my penis. Until that psychedelic moment, I had blocked out the traumatic memory.

man that's horrific, i think i would have rather it stayed blocked

Lmao one of my first is falling down the stairs which had a bend (stairs, little square platform and 90 degree turn, then 3 stars, walls on the sides), and I rolled down, hit my head on the wall, recall not feeling pain and being surprised I wasn’t crying bc I expected to, then crying

our stairs had a bend too, i blame that for the fall lol

I don't know how old I was, probably 2 or 3. I was sitting on my dad's shoulders, we were on the street near my childhood house in Guangzhou, China. He stood there to let me watch the garbage truck pickup a community bin and dump it in the back of the truck.

I have relived memories from my embryonic stage.
