tl;dr: if you map audio from the various videos of the Charlie Kirk shooting with the speed of sound, the gunshot doesn't seem to come from the rooftop.

I had been refraining form getting in to this mostly because I was worried that it would be a huge time sink with no real payoff (it's not like I'm going to change anything), but it really seems hard to demy that there is some funny business here.
Here's a 18 minute video I found that goes into it a bit.
It's hard not to feel like the people who are most in to discussing the weirdness if the case gain a lot by playing it up.
I'm curious how others feel about this.

I kinda don't want to dignify the video with a click. My first thought is, #1, did anyone actually check their math? And #2, do they know where the audio recording equipment was actually set up, and do they know if there is any kind of signal processing delay on the equipment?
In the end, why even bother with this. They probably have the bullet. They'll be able to match it with the gun. They'll be able to match the gun with the shooter's family if the official narrative is to be believed.
I guess they would say that we can't trust what the FBI puts out, i.e. ballistics matching was faked or whatever. Fine, whatever. In the end, I can't force anyone to believe anything, but they seem to really want to believe anything other than the most straightforward narrative.
reply
The last I heard, they don't have the bullet.
reply
How is that possible? If that's true, that is definitely a factor pointing in a more conspiratorial direction.
reply
I have no sense of how easy it is to recover a bullet from an open air venue, especially if it ricocheted off a Kevlar undershirt as may have been the case.
reply
I would think that given the magnitude of resources that would be available for this investigation, it wouldn't be hard, unless someone took the bullet away from the scene.
But you're right, I have zero experience in these matters, so it's possible that this is not strange at all.
But my belief is that, if true, then it is strange that they don't have the bullet. Stranger than all the evidence given so far about sound waves and hand gestures

With the Trump event I still have questions. With Kirk, I really don't see a smoking gun from any other group with a real desire to risk being exposed by knocking him off. The Israel talk is a pretty weak case IMO. He wasn't Anti-Israel and I don't see the risk reward for them to be behind this. The plot seems to make sense to me as it has been told. If it isn't I have an open mind.

This makes the most sense to me.

He was gently pushing back. And yeah he got hit hard for it but there would need to be a lot more smoke for me to think Israel is behind this. And I don't care which conservative I influencer is pushing it. It doesn't make sense.

He was, previously, not anti-Israel. In fact, he was one of Israel's biggest proponents. Most of his donations came from big Jewish donors, who apparently were funded by Israel.
But recently he had, publicly, been changing his mind. He had a debate on his big Turning Point USA convention between a big pro-zionist (Josh Hammer) and an anti-zionist (Dave Smith, big libertarian). And he was NOT supposed to have any kind of "open discourse" with people who were openly anti-zionist.
He was receiving HUGE pushback from donors on this - not his grass-roots donors, but the huge donors, mostly large foundations with ties to Israel.
Apparently what Israel was most scared of was him completely turning around, specifically BECAUSE he had previously been so pro-Israel, and could really NOT be called an anti-semite.
Here's a video with Meghan Kelly and Charlie Kirk, done a month before he was assassinated. He seems really frightened.
reply
Thanks. Well aware of all this. No way he was a logical hit for doing any of this. If people think Kirk could turn the evangelical base in Israel they have not talked to enough pro Israel evangelicals. It's not impossible but sure isn't the first theory I would pick. What is being pushed is way more likely to me.
reply
Not the older folks, no.
But apparently the younger conservative crowd was turning against Israel. Check this out - he organized a focus group in which he interviewed some of the leaders of local Turning Point USA chapters, and many of them were vocally against the war in Gaza. This went viral. https://x.com/charliekirk11/status/1948453973633237147

Even if Charlie was becoming more open to anti-Israel sentiment, that doesn't mean the Israeli government killed him or even had anything to do with it

I have my own suspicions regarding this event, but they almost totally are based around the narrative of:
  • Climbs roof with gun unassembled
  • Shoots gun
  • Jumps off roof either with gun unassembled or with no gun
  • Assembled gun found in woods in cardboard box?
reply
Are we looking at that spot where all three intersect?
reply
Oh my. For the love of god. He was shot by Tyler Robinson. FIN
