Okay, it's not like I'm a newbie (first bought bitcoin in 2013) but from time to time I become retarded or just frustrated and stuck in certain places especially if it has to do with lightning. The word "node" confuses me. I'm not retarded really and not a newbie either, and this just goes to show how complicated lightning has "been made" by various legit/malevolent actors mistakenly/deliberately. If even I cannot understand it comfortably then it must be very very difficult for newbies and normies. I'm very lazy, that's another thing.

Well, enough of the preface, here's the problem. My GetAlby/Alby Wallet worked great in the beginning as a browser extension. It worked so well that I deleted my ZBD browser extension and shifted to Alby. Newsflash, just now I learnt that ZBD no longer has a browser extension on Chrome, the app is no longer on the Google Play Store, and if I install the browser extension on Firefox, it requires me to scan the QR code using the mobile app to login. I have an android phone :/

I maybe mis-remembering, but I think earlier one could login directly using the browser extension. Maybe Andre Neves and ZBD are not that bright, if they still haven't sorted this problem out. Is this kick out by Google recent, like in the past few days, or is ZBD the company going down? Even the ZBD Social app is no longer on Play Store.

But Alby can login using just the desktop/laptop PC browser extension and email OTP blah blah. Ok enough of extended preface, the MAIN PROBLEM is: Alby used to work great in the beginning then one day for some reason I went clickety click on the Alby Hub thingy, nodes this and that, I don't even remember if I paid something for it or it was free, whether it was optional or required, I'm not aware of the current status of the app/browser extension, whether it is as it has always been or have they made some changes to it that require making your own node, and linking it. If that is the case, then did they offer a free node earlier. I know my doubt will sound retarded to seasoned lightning users (I hope Darth Vader DarthCoin doesn't read and reply to this nooblet brainlet post, please no!) but I'm seriously worried (mostly about my incompetence vis a vis lightning, nodes, etc.).

Because a quick glance at the FAQ on the Alby site mentioned that what I thought were my few sats showing in the wallet (sats which I've mostly earned/won in contests here on Stacker News) are actually Le Credits. WTF! Credits! I so hate that connotation. How can they turn sats into credits, WTF is happening here?? I'm totally confused and maybe making this post more dramatic than it needs to be (I could very easily have just asked a 2-sentence simple question to clear my doubt and get an answer, but here we are!).

TL;DR How do I revert to the old Alby that does not require Alby Hub (which I mistakenly linked once and then unlinked or whatever, I don't remember). I just need to withdraw my few sats in the wallet which I'm unable to right now. The browser extension throws an Error 400 when I try to withdraw.
