What do you do when a co-author who is supposed to give a full review of a manuscript draft comes back with 3 typos, and then, complements it with: "Additionally, I am attaching below an AI generated critical report which is clearly biased, yet can give some guidance on points to be improved if possible at all at this stage. Apart from those substantial improvement suggestions that we cannot incorporate right now, the manuscript seems to me keeps a good standard as is.".
Yet, when you read the AI-report, you realize neither the AI, nor the co-author has a clue of what is actually being conveyed in the manuscript. If the author had read the paper, he'd have realized all the "substantial" improvement suggestions are just garbage.
There is no shame anymore. #AIslop

The solution I'm gravitating towards is to leave the profession entirely. I get that might not be for everyone, though.

My experiences using chat support lately have been terrible, pure chatbots that don't solve anything, just get angry and increase the alterative pressure.

Nah I stopped using it. That is the time I was trying get on zero fiat. Plus it was hard to blend my finances together when I was operating my side business

Happiness Journal 22/9/25
Most days, I drag my feet to pick up my children because I have nothing but a night of drudgery to look forward to.
Today, however, I hastened my steps like a rat scurrying towards a mousetrap for two reasons.
First, the son has become obsessed with cattle and zebras, so I couldn’t wait to tell him about how some Japanese cattle have been painted with zebra-like stripes to reduce the likelihood of them getting bitten by flies. It’s a cool piece of trivia that I’m certain will stay etched in his mind.
Secondly, while decluttering my Sc folder, I found a hard copy of the map of the Singapore Zoo. I have probably hoarded it since 2021! In an era where apps are the go-to answer for everything, this physical map has elevated to be a relic of history. I know he will pore over the details with great excitement. Hopefully, this means that he will watch less TV tonight.

We made it! I'm really happy we find another provider to stamp our designs to. Together with the beer coolers shared yesterday, it gave us access to the legendary SN OTTO® trucker hats and many other unique items.

The bubble rubber is not that hard, the pin just ain’t sharp enough yet. It’s still early days, and if there’s one thing I’ve got, it’s patience! Just let the politicians play their game, it’s bound to happen sooner or later.
