Nvidia is ensuring its continued dominance in the AI space with this investment. OpenAI plans to build and deploy Nvidia systems that will require 10 gigawatts of power and that is equal to between 4 and 5 million GPUs (the total Nvidia will ship this year).
The first phase of this investment is due to come online in the second half of 2026 using Nvidia's next gen Vera Rubin system. This system is another huge step forward in both energy efficiency and computational power. After taking a $5 billion stake in Intel (likely for its foundry operations but this hasnt be finalized) Nvidia is on the move continuing to be the first mover in the space.
This effort will also be a compliment to the SoftBank, Oracle, and OpenAI $500 billion Stargate project.

Big failure by the US empire because it underestimated the strategic advantage China has been gaining by winning the trade war and now dominating the supply chains in so many refined commodities and manufactured goods. USA has lost the war to produce Lithium Batteries, EVs, PVs, robotics, LEDs and other strategic energy and labour efficiency technologies.
AI is mostly hype and could turn out to be a huge loss making gamble resulting in the end of US hegemony. No ones buying USTs anymore - unless they are forced to.

No it doesn’t we figured out how to make the same permanent magnets without any rare earths… I’ve been waiting for months to drop this on you. Slowly biding my time but Niron Magnetics is now launching a second commercial scale plant and all the materials needed…. In the US and able/already are refined in the US 🤣

They are still years away from the commercial scale production required and only fit for use with VFM motors.
Unfortunately for Uncle Sam VFM motors are only a tiny portion of the extensive range of products that currently require rare earths.

These makers have already been used by the DOD they have a back up in Mountain Pass and another manufacturer with USA Rare Earths.
If China was in such a strong position why have they come to the US to renegade in talks? It’s because they have stupid high youth unemployment and that leads to revolution. Trump has already shown he will turn off TikTok and has.
You clearly haven’t done any sort of looking at the makers this company can produce orrrrr the coal ash production of rare earths 😂 China choked us off and we adapted. It’s time you accept that but you can’t and just continue to cope and throw a tantrum.

Is USA now self sufficient in rare earths or equivalents for the manufacture of all manufactured goods such as cellular telephones, computer hard drives, electric and hybrid vehicles, and flat-screen monitors and televisions...and the multiple military applications where rare earths or equivalents are essential?
Yes or No?
Answer is NO- USA is still largely reliant upon Chinese supply chains for the majority of these materials.
Fun fact- there are more than a dozen different rare earths used for specific and unique application scenarios- Niron can provide alternatives for just a few of them and are still a long way from having the volume of production to even make a dent in the vast gaps in USA based supply chains.

See how anyone can do that 😂 where as China cannot address its issue without millions dying the US is pivoting and is pivoting at a rapid pace that China cannot handle. Sure at the moment we are like right now but it’s quite possible within a year certain industries no longer are 😂 with MP Materials production alone. Then throw in Niron for various commercial applications and oof. Plus the US is rapidly pivoting away from lithium and the products needed for lithium ion batteries so….

Plenty of countries want to sell food exports to China- they can choose who they buy from and they can to some extent control commodity markets as a result.
USA has only one supply source for most of the rare earths it needs for its military industrial complex and Trump is begging on his knees for China to continue supply.
Is Xi coming to US? No he sends some lower ranking people to humour Trump. The reality is Trump and USA need Chinas supply chains otherwise USA Inc is Fucked.
