It's war. yt-dlp is going to lengths here with Javascript shenanigans. Cobalt.tools is dead. As are many other online yt downloaders. I recently found out how difficult it has become to download age restricted videos with Jdownloader - you have to be logged in with an age-verified account and it needs a current browser cookie instead of password.
