That video sounds kinda dumb.

I think that if you're defending against a nation state that uses quantum computing to break your encrypted traffic, like the larper in this video argues, then you're fucked and your VPN nor tor will help you retain any privacy.

99.99999999% of people are this though:

• I'm at home
• I'm just using the internet
• I'm not doing anything deemed illegal
• I'm not targeted by criminals

Just do whatever.

Let's also consider using some helfhosted server like adguardhome for another layer of protection. Does it really add some extra protection while using tor, can it be better than a VPN in some cases?
