He was so much better than people remember. He is iconic for that play, but was underappreciated due to the Zone scheme I think.

I think it’s more lack of team success in playoffs than zone vs man.

I mean the Bears were pretty good during his career, especially after 2005. Made a super bowl and NFC championship. They were not the pushovers the Bears have been of late. That Bears defense was elite. Maybe it was just his contemporaries resulted in him not getting as many awards (Charles Woodson, Ronde Barber, and even Antoine Winfield overlapped him in the NFC).
