I'm really curious about how all the immigration changes are effecting rents. It's hard to tell in Austin why rents are down because it feels like there's so much new housing going in.
I'm sure some ambitious young economists are already looking into that question, but it's gonna be hard to tell conclusively because lower immigration does two things simultaneously: A) reduce demand pressure on housing; but B) reduce labor supply for construction workers.
