I'm not sure he's even loafing. Looked more like sauntering to me.

I switched it to quit. I thought that was more of a catch all phrase to describe his lack of effort or interest. I didn't like loafing either.

A few 49ers did that last year on the Geno Smith game winning rush. This year's team is not as good on paper but much grittier.

It reminds me of the MLB guys who don't run out the path to first base. You never know what will happen. If you give up we know what will happen. You won't have a chance.

Yeah you see that a few times every MLB season too where a guy isn't hustling and would have made it due to a bobble or a slightly wild throw that takes the guy off the bag but the defense has time to recover and get him.
