tl;dr nostr seems like it could eat the entirety of the gig economy, joint-stock-company tier tech for p2p, self-stabilizing crypto-anarchic economy, especially for atomic or discretizable interactions where the size of incentive to cheat is small compared to the cumulative value of a series of interactions over time.
This may lead the gig economy itself to grow 1-2 orders of magnitude, and since it would all be natively Lightning transactions, with private key management, this could trigger hyperbitcoinization from the pleb level rather than from ultra-wealthy.
Hyperbitcoinization by 2030 seems a lot more likely to me now than it has felt for the past year or so.

I think the main huge difference is that Nostr will teach people to work with their private key. After that it's just a small step to start using Bitcoin correctly.

I like your take. But we've crossed into over hyping "nostr fixes this" the past month or so.
There are a lot of challenges into bootstrapping gig or crypto-anarchic economies, and the hardest ones are human challenges not technology challenges.

Hyperbitcoinization by 2030 seems a lot more likely to me now than it has felt for the past year or so.

I see it more as a way for people to use public and private key pairs regularly so they get used to it, if they are using it for interacting on the web, its easier to explain how bitcoin works and is almost like a training wheels for bitcoin without the monetary aspect.
Controlling data with public keys, as for the gig economy, sure I can see that, but I don't like using that term because it feels like its all about centralised companies hosting gigs, I prefer the P2P economy where its peers with no middlemen

It’s great that we have this level of development interest in things adjacent to bitcoin — I really hope to see a next generation of bitcoin wallets that integrate these social tools since there’s such a lack on innovation in that area with current products. Multisig, lightning channels, privacy via payjoin or coinjoins are all social but have shitty UX.
