This Week's Issue

News

Welcome to Books & Articles Weekly.
Zapping and engagement in the territory is disappointing. I’m happy that we are still seeing good content. I’m getting used to these lulls, which is probably not a good thing.
Thanks to everyone who contributed.
There is a zap award for the top 5 posts weekly. It will be broken down as follows:
  1. 1000 sats
  2. 250 sats
  3. 250 sats
  4. 250 sats
  5. 250 sats
Posts will be judged using SN zaprank. The cut off time is 9:00am EST (1300GMT) Saturday morning. I will post the top 5 winners shortly around 9:00am every Saturday morning.
I reserve the right to not award any sats for the week. I also reserve the right to deny sat awards to bare link posts. I recognize that link posts can be valuable, so I will only only exercise discretion for low quality links that garner few sats or engagement from stackers.
Happy reading!
As always, please reply with suggestions and opinions on how to make this territory better.

Siggy’s Suggestions

There is not too much to get excited about around here, but I liked this fun poem by a new stacker named @hannotek. I hope the measly zapping and engagement doesn’t prevent us from seeing more from this account. Thanks for brightening my week.
@bitcoingraffiti is back with a haiku that hit home with me. I suspect I’m not the only one.

Are the reviews listed above #1214495 all the new ones posted in ~BooksAndArticles since #1214495 was posted?
reply
Oh no. @cryotosensei is good for one or two a week by himself.😀
Maybe I misunderstood your question. In today's weekly, all the book reviews above the link to your post have been posted after your compilation
reply
All were posted after but does it include all the reviews posted afterwards? Or are some not in that list
reply
Oh, I'm sorry. I see what you mean. Those are all the ones I noticed. Some may slip through the cracks. I hate to have you doing updates all the time. We nned editable posts! One more thing. I'm not a strict Territorian. I think SN will have cross posting some day. I know that ~the_stacker_muse has book reviews too that you can include. @jbschirtzinger is posting a lot there.
reply
Yeah, he has pinged me on a few of his reviews to include in the directory, which I'm happy to oblige.
My intention isn't to limit my directory to ~BooksAndArticles. But on the practical side, I need to source the reviews from other compiled lists, since I don't have the capacity to iterate through every SN item to see if it's a review or not.
These updates are handy though, I can use them to update the list, even if it's not the complete set.

I think periodically stackers like @cryotosensei and @jbschirtzinger should collect all their reviews in a link post. They would earn some extra sats, I would permanently include it in the weekly, and it would be easy for you to search.
reply
The slated changes to the editor might make this quite feasible for me.

Looks like it’s picked back up! When’s your schedule to post these round ups? My schedule may have to update as will get out the next story out in a couple hours.
reply
I post every Saturday morning around 0800 est. I look forward to reading your latest.
