It's an award that's gone to Abiy Ahmed Ali, Yasser Arafat, Henry Kissinger, Teddy Roosevelt, and Barack Obama, none of whom deserved it (and some of whom actively did the opposite of "peace" at every turn). It's never meant anything more than the Oscars or any other awards do.
Your opinion is valid... and I think my perspective is more personal, considering the place or country where I was born. It bothers me that they have somehow awarded a person whose actions have endorsed, in the eyes of international opinion, fraudulent and totally flawed elections, and in the middle of them, the lives and feelings of millions of people!
