Today, I want to share a new set of street photographs I took in my city. I had been wanting to take photographs at night for a long time, and I finally dared to do it. The first thing I should say is that to make my idea a reality, I had to use a light lens, a 50mm at f/1.8, and significantly raise the ISO, which gives the photographs an imperfect but quite pleasing look.
The city I live in is small, so there weren't many things to photograph that day, so what I did was focus on the areas that were well lit by artificial lights.
I went to a part of the city that is quite busy, where there is normally a lot of nightlife. I found a group of people drinking beer on the street:
The next photography is of another bar, but there were no people outside.
A hot dog stand:
A shopping center from the outside:
I kept walking the streets and taking photographs:
A sushi restaurant:
The streets at night have a completely different vibe!
It was a very fun experiment, and I was very surprised of the outcome. Now that I know I can get good results at night, I'm going to plan some more conceptual photographs to execute an incredible idea!
I hope you liked these photographs as much as I did, and thanks for watching!
