The Marmot Protocol is an extension on the NIP-EE, the nostr spec that integrates MLS protocol into nostr messaging.
Marmot takes NIP-EE and broadens its scope by creating its own set of specifications, for example to standardize media and group management.
Thus, we could say that White Noise is now powered by the Marmot Protocol, it’s not technically another option!
