I know this will be as shocking to you as it is to me but it was a Judge in...... San Francisco who made this move! The temp. restraining order was issued to roughly 4k federal workers that got hit with RIFs (reduction in force) last week.
“The activities that are being undertaken here are contrary to the laws,” San Francisco U.S. District Court Judge Susan Yvonne Illston told lawyers for the administration on Wednesday at a hearing where she issued the temporary restraining order.
“You can’t do this in a nation of laws,” Illston said, according to NBC News.
Now I have to say I do get a kick out of the reasoning of it being contrary to law.... because I sure have not seen any laws that say you can't be fired.... I would not be surprised if the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals issues a stay to her temp. restraining order. That has already happened many many times lol
