gas cars do not have their fuel source molded to the frame. that is why they don't depreciate as fast

The reason for this is simple... The electric car market is relatively new and is developing faster than gasoline-powered cars. The other reason is that in the case of electric cars, new models appear much faster (everyone wants to produce them) than in the case of "traditional" cars, and the "older" models lose their value exponentially.
