Bitcoin is "mainstream" they. Everyone knows about Bitcoin, they say.
Here's 21 people who would strongly disagree.
I whole heartedly agree. We are VERY early no matter how many people in your personal circle know about it. Its easy to forget how early we are.
This doesn’t surprise me not one bit

So you have friends or know people IRL. I wonder about many Stackers. Frankly. Not you but many are pretty out of touch.
reply
Very out of touch. I tried to tell so many people. I still get laughed at and joked on for being the bitcoin guy. But I don’t quit. I am putting on a workshop to teach some elders in my community to buy bitcoin on cash app
reply
people laugh at my bitcoin obsession too but it's good natured. They don't think bitcoin is stupid, on the contrary I think many think that they are too dumb to get bitcoin and so they don't bother with it.
reply
Same
reply
Its worse because those that know about bitcoin are deluted and confused by shitcoins.
Its much easier to teach people that are a blank slate than to counter bad ideas from crypto.
reply
I am sick of hearing fiat lovers complain about the price and why hasn't it "mooned" yet. Guys... we are early. Focus on for circle. Family, friends, and preparing for the future. Save, learn, and teach.
reply
Save, learn, and teach.
this is unbearable for losers using shitGPT...

People call me an asshole for this meme, but is the pure truth...
btw... Lugano's people are just Tethers slaves
few... just to fuck around with @ek's brains
reply
Indeed. You can't help people that don't want help. And really... its not that hard. You just have to want to learn. You can't save people. If they want help... I know you and I will help but that's not the problem. People think they know better and you can't teach someone that doesn't recognize they need to learn.
Most people are sadly sheep.

I've been trying for so many years now... then I get to this conclusion

Most people are sadly sheep.
The ultimate sheep... begging for petitions. Literally makes me puke.

How do you know that about Ligano? And if not Lugano, then where do you think is the best place to live on Bitcoin? South Africa?
reply
Everyone has heard of it but less than 1% can explain even what it is
reply
How many that have bought bitcoin on some exchange can explain it?
It has to be really low IMO
reply
The amount of idiocracy in this world is astonishing. Literally I saved many people's ass, calling me to help them to withdraw BTC from exchanges. PEOPLE ARE SO FUCKING IDIOTS NOWADAYS.
One guy literally gave me remote access to his 300 BTC on Kraken, just to move them to his fucking Electrum wallet... Imagine the madness, when I told him to not do that ever never.... He was literally gloing in the kitchen pouring a glass of wine meanwhile I was trying to move his BTC to own Electrum, wallet because he was so dumb...
reply
Wow, wtf! I know you have a strong moral code and would never do it, but that guy sounds like he doesn't deserve to hold onto 300 BTC! Wonder if he lost it already at this point.
reply
Ouch. I'd be very worried about that person doing something really, really stupid with their seed.
I'd assume they already saved a pic of their seed on Google drive or some place like that.
reply
Yeah, that's insane

Mostly agree, though cherry picking makes better content.
I think most people have at least heard of the name. They don't know what it is and will conflate it with other crypto.
reply
So basically he's correct.
I only share this opinion because at best 1 in 10 people I know even get the basics of crypto. They have no clue what bitcoin is. They have heard of it but that's not knowing what it is. The ones that think they know really don't.

Now look at the mempool with 0,20s/vb txs and it makes a lot of sense.
reply
That's very shocking to me honestly. But maybe in some parts of the world there's more awareness. Maybe in Czech Republic and south America, I curious to see how it would go in Brazil and Czech as there are a lot of merchants on btcmap there

99% who "knows" only care about NGU. But then they ask how to avoid taxes, and here I bring up other aspects.
