I think most people have at least heard of the name. They don't know what it is and will conflate it with other crypto.

So basically he's correct.
I only share this opinion because at best 1 in 10 people I know even get the basics of crypto. They have no clue what bitcoin is. They have heard of it but that's not knowing what it is. The ones that think they know really don't.
