Regarding this particular product I am skeptical. They're taking pre-orders based on a prototype and thus far everything is teleoperated. But efficient and reliable production is incredibly hard. My spidey senses tell me either this won't ever ship to customers, or if it does they'll go bankrupt reasonably soon afterwards due to not being able to manufacture at scale for a profit.

Generally though, I think consumer robots could be great when done well and will bring many benefits. -Tom
