I think the main point that is being overlooked (intentionally or not) when trying to move the debate to the consensus level is this:
Filters can adjust dynamically to counter spam as it finds new ways around old filter rules. This adaptation in real time is not something that can/should be done at consensus level.
This actually did come up in the debate but I forgot to mention it, because it was primarily an interaction between Jimmy and the moderator, not with Peter

That's exactly what my OFAC point was getting at. The end-point of what the pro-filter crowd wants is dynamically adjusted blacklists. Which is exactly what the pro-OFAC crowd also wants.
They're the same thing.

What a ridiculous straw man. Individual nodes determine their own relay policy regardless of what anyone says. Any filtering that happens at the network level is an emergent phenomenon.

It's important the audience realizes Pedo Todd is a state cuck. Biggest takeaway from this debate for me was Pedo Todd refusing to admonish csam when pressed, and saying he wouldn't look it up to verify because of the status of its legality, not any moral reasons. Pedo Todd is a psychopath
