Ok. so it's just a sponsor thing. I was thinking that it's like a mid tournament similar to MLB All Star games.

It is a midseason tournament, but the games count as part of the regular season too.

Great. I've found some info on it on ESPN, just going through it. What about the knockout games? Do they also include in regular season?

Yes. The only game that isn't a regular season game is the championship game.
