It's a simple question (but also tricky). And the right answer could be found in one of my substack articles. Bounty up for grabs, for my readers.

Freedom defines the rules of cooperation between social individuals, i.e. the responsibilities. It draws the line between the members of society by acting as a restraint that protects the individual and their property from the rest of the community.
TLDR; Freedom is responsibility and property rights.

Freedom is the mysterious whore of Babylon, license to reject goodness and to define morality in your own eyes. It's the foundation of perversion, whoredom, theft and love of death.
Liberty is the natural right to worship God and property rights over your Home and Family. Liberty is not license to sin, but to be free of corruption, live a clean life absent the iron fist of tyranny. It's the right to defend yourself, family, property and community from intrusion by evil.

The positive and negative liberty : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Two_Concepts_of_Liberty
  • : the ability to pursue and achieve willed goals
  • : the absence of constraints on the agent imposed by other people.
When I discovered this duality, I find that distinction pretty interesting.

Freedom is the conceptual midpoint between communism and sovereignity.
reply
No, there's no midpoint. Communism is an ideaology. Sovereignty is a status of a man. Is the ultimate freedom a man could have.
reply
Plain freedom has connotations of libertine sex life and open borders, a tendency to disregard traditions without understanding the wisdom they carry. (Not all freedom, but sometimes).
Sovereignty means ultimate responsibility. It implies forethought, restraint and property rights. It can also come with a curiosity for sovereigns of old times, citadels, gleaning wisdom from ancestors.

GPT: "Freedom is the ability to act, speak, or think without external restraint or coercion. It can also refer to the state of not being imprisoned or enslaved. It is often considered a fundamental human right and is closely associated with concepts such as democracy, autonomy, and self-determination."
reply
Fuck GPT. If we are asking AO about freedom and we are not capable to define it as intelligent human beings, then we are fucked as species.
