I'm getting frustrated with my hosted lightning node on Voltage.
There are at least 3 issues I've come across:
LNBITS + NWC connection issue - no NWCProvider extension available; can't update LNbits LNBITS + NOSTR ZAPS ISSUE (zaps not showing in nostr, although I receive them) THUNDERHUB VERSION ISSUE - can't update & can't pay Lightning Addresses without updating)
It is $25/month, running and managing it is still quite technical, and I also need to manage my own liquidity. I don't want to self-host a node because I don't have a computer to keep online 24/7 (and keep connected even in case of power or internet outage), plus in the long term, I want to be travelling again.
If anyone here has experience with both: How does Alby Cloud compare to Voltage? Or is there anything else you'd recommend?
Also, if I were to migrate from Voltage to Alby, how much (if any) of my node & settings can I "take with me" to the new provider (i.e. open channels, LNbits instances, BTCPayServer setup, etc.)?

Instead of host lnbits on voltage you better buy a cheap VPS and host it and install it yourself. You have also the advantage to use that VPS as your personal VPN using wireguard.
Voltage is 25 bucks when a cheap VPS could be lke 5 bucks and you can do whatever you want.
A lnbits + phoenixd backend works instanly on any simple vps. If you do not want phoenixd you can use Rizful node as backend through NWC. Or run a LND in neutrino mode. In all cases you don't need a full bitcoun node.
Alby hub is the same. And no, you cannot migrate the data from voltage.

And here you have some of the best simple guides to run LNbits on a VPS
And I wrote also a guide about more options how to run a LNbits here: https://darth-coin.github.io/merchants/build-lnbits-app-server-en.html

Start9 + UPS 🤷‍♂️ Simple and effective...

Nope. The fact that is a "Tor only" bundle make it difficult or even impòssible to use for what OP wants. Stop pushing these Tor only bundle nodes. Are totally useless for many of cases when the user need exposure to the rest of the world. A LN node with Tor is the worst case scenario: #944885

I think running your own LN node on a VPS is a better choice.
