Are you selling these? @Scoresby

And have you thought of doing other non horror movies? I'd buy one for classics like Star Wars and Godfather, but would prefer not to have horror themes haha

reply

I do sell them. Proof of Ink prints them full movie poster size (I think his website is down at the moment, though -- wouldn't load for me). I print them 11"x17" if you buy from my website.

I've never done Godfather, but I have done a number of others (including Star Wars, Rambo, Conan, Die Hard, and such. I haven't made any new ones for a while, but if you have a good idea, let me know)

You know, it never occurred to me to zoom out like that. I need to change my CSS so it's not possible. I much prefer it when it looks like this:

I wish the entire page was just an infinite grid of posters that can be scrolled/panned in any direction.

kind of like this: https://exhibition.rightdesigninc.com/

I also like yeezy's store: https://yeezy.com/

both of these are beautiful. I really like the rightdesigninc one.

Sadly, I am not quite at the skill level of making that happen, nor do I sell enough posters (2 or 3 a month) to merit paying someone to do it.

But it's interesting to think about. I wonder if I could make it happen.

I bet you could vibe it given the bandwidth

wp galleries themes or themes made for photographers usually do something similar

reply

The gallery plugin I'm currently using got updated and changed the look. It used to be much better at tiling the screen with no margins.

I zoomed out way too much just to take the screenshot, but honestly, I think the icons with links are way too big, and then inside each page, the posters are even bigger, so I can’t even see the whole poster. But still, props to you, the posters are really awesome!

Impressive quality of artifacts you generated! @Scoresby for how long have you been designing posters? Which tools do you use?

reply

Been doing it since 2020. I only use gimp.
