People often assume that the poor is largely at fault in regard to their circumstances, but they fail to realise that institutional barriers act against them and pose huddles for them to get out of the poverty cycle. The lower income people in my country are often stuck with unfavourable working conditions - shift work, weekends - which makes it hard for them to be committed parents, thus allowing the poverty cycle to be perpetuated.
