Just looking at the graphics makes my laptop cry in pain. But...you make me wish I could play it.
Yeah, I had to set up my desktop PC to play this game. (For some reason, it felt like more effort than just plugging it in, so I never got around to it after moving almost a year ago, lol.) Are your kids not in the PC gaming age yet?
For the readers: this game runs extremely smoothly (FPS locked at 120) at 1920×1080, everything on high, i5-13600K @ 5.1 GHz, 32 GB RAM, and RTX 3060 Ti. I haven’t tried the epic settings yet.
Also, I guess I'd never really thought about scripting scenes in games (this reveals how weak of a gamer I am). Playing games like Elder Scrolls, the scripting parts always felt so separate from gameplay that they were more like little in game movies -- even if just played out by game characters.
To be honest, I also haven't thought much about them. It was just how games always worked and I accepted it. But now, I think soon every game will do what they did with the enemies.
