Yes card is active
Smspva.com doesn’t have BTC ATMs listed for services
I think mint mobile might be the best way will try and find one.
Apps don’t work. Tried to use burner and they asked for my real number before giving me the fake one. All the others are through iOS which im almost certain you must pay via apple and not a prepaid debit card.
Redeeem is confusing and lots of work to just sell on prepaid card
Cardcoins you need at least $50 pre paid debit card. This could work but my prepaid debit isn’t high enough
Lots of exchanges to filter through.
Lightning network is out. I want to do this as if I have zero Bitcoin and oblivious to the lightning network
Can you buy esim with cash or prepaid debit?
Plan of attack (if fails move on to next)
- Look for mobile mint sim
- Get $50 prepaid debit card use cardcoins
- Figureout redeem sell my cards for BTC
- Search on p2p for btc
This is getting really difficult to do. This is why I think no-KYC purchasing is allowed to the able and willing. A normal person would have given up by now
Mobile Mint seem to have worked! Bought a trial sim for $2 at Best Buy. Downloaded the mint mobile and used a dummy name and email address and the sim activated. Just curious about how much KYC leakage you have with downloading the mint Mobile app from google play but so far this is something a normal person can do. Now off to the atm and see if we can get this to go!

Just came back and it’s complete! First no-KYC sats purchased! While it’s not 100% anon (mask but no sunglasses camera at the station, drove there so could link License plate) this is definitely doable for the common person. Just need to have a burner number. That is the biggest trouble I Had. Once i am done turning all my cash to no-KYC sats I will let you know

Happy to hear. :)
Bitcoin ATMs are a good way to buy Bitcoin without ID or a bank account (and no permanent purchase records linked to a full name, home address, ID scan and SSN).
KYC specifically means government ID requirements, not personal information (PII) like appearance, city, phone number, etc., so there is no "KYC leakage". For more privacy, a burner number, mask, etc. can help, but isn't necessary depending on risk situation.
You can also try Redeeem.com (e.g. sell an Amazon gift card), Azte.co vouchers (it's easy, just ask the cashier for an Azteco voucher and pay with cash, check their website for local stores) or cash by mail/money orders/cash in person via Bisq, HodlHodl, Agoradesk or Robosats.
I wrote a new article here, if helpful: https://anarkiocrypto.medium.com/how-to-buy-earn-and-spend-kyc-free-bitcoin-and-monero-without-id-or-a-bank-account-496ff20986ff

Ahh okay that is very good to know. Plan on using the same ATM until all my fiat is gone. They have others but don’t want to deal with the hassle of them asking to scan my ID.

Let me know how it goes.

Please reply to this message with your FOSS project and I will send 1M sats there too. If you don’t choose I will just send it to The ZEUS wallet app

Thanks. :) Happy to hear that the Bitcoin ATM worked and was fairly easy to use. Enjoy your new KYC-free Bitcoin.
KYC-free alternatives like Bitcoin ATMs, vouchers and cash in person/by mail are safe, financially inclusive and respect Satoshi's vision for Bitcoin (permissionless, pseudonymous and peer-to-peer). It's important to use, support and educate people about these options.
I like Microlancer (great KYC-free Bitcoin Lightning freelancing website, online since 2018) but I don't know if it's open source and couldn't find a donation address: https://microlancer.io/ Contact: https://twitter.com/Microlancer
If not, I like Robosats as a new KYC-free exchange. It's open source but I don't know if they have a donation address: https://github.com/reckless-satoshi/robosats
Otherwise, Zeus is a good option.

Bounty obligation is complete. Again thanks for your help!
Also a burner number is nice-to-have in general, e.g. for website signups, apps, memberships or a secondary Telegram/Signal account (create a work profile or second user, if you want to use 2 accounts on one device), either to avoid spam or create pseudonymous accounts.
Once you have one burner sim (or a balance in TextVerified/SMSPVA), you can use the same number for multiple ATM purchases or help a friend who wants to buy Bitcoin to pass SMS verification.

I agree! Just hard to get one. The mint mobile SIM I got is the cheap 7 day trial one. I’m curious to see if you can renew with a prepaid debit. They have other options you pay more up front for longer service term. Which they sell at best buy and target
