MLB and Sportsbooks agree to limit on Pitch outcome bets

So you may have heard that two Cleveland Guardians pitchers were recently indicted for pitch rigging (intentionally throwing balls or hitting batters) yesterday. During the course of the almost two year scheme bettors won $450,000 by betting on the outcome of their pitches.
In response MLB and sportsbooks have agreed to limit the amount gamblers can bet on individual pitches to $200 and prohibit these bets from being included in parlays.

I think "the solution" is the leagues deciding how hard they need to crack down on players to protect "the integrity of the game".
We have to remember that these are just entertainment products. That they seem to be honest contests is one feature amongst many that all need to be balanced.

Its really sad that pro athletes care so little about their integrity. If I were a player I'd never want a guy like this near me.
