Footnotes are one of the itchiest things to implement when the 'preview' is the editor itself.

I don't like footnotes. Especially on SN. Are fucking tiny!

What about Wikipedia 'footnotes'?
asking because it's like 1000 times easier

hoooly shit you made those letters small on purpose to blind me? I am for making SN fonts bigger.

hahahaha happy mistake, I use SN with 150% zoom

I am not such a boomer to use zoom on my browser... EDIT: I am a boomer, but not like that hahahaha

I have to, look at what 100% zoom looks like on my screen:
I would get blind in 5 seconds. edit: maybe a screenshot wasn't the best idea to represent how little characters are

I am 54 years old man, with 30 years looking into a fucking monitor. Let's not forget the early years of "computerism" with those big fucking radiation monitors flickering and messing with our eyes... Young kids don't know how this was affecting our eyes forever.
Looking into a mobile screen for me is a pain. btw if you see one of my comments with a lot of misspelling ... is because I had to use a mobile (mostly when I get to shit).

I listened to the audiobook version of JBP's Maps of Meaning earlier this year. Yesterday, finished watching the 13-part series of him doing lectures on this at Harvard in 1996. As I was finishing up the series, the first episode of the new Maps of Meaning lectures dropped ... guess I'll be going through this material for the third time 🤓

My posts are pleb delectables!
reply
i certainly wud call ur posts "delectable" or "delicious" in the same way that a Satan (hebrew shatan - adversary) wud call his sayings delicious; ur posting is an abhomnation (literally, away-from-man);
delicere "to allure, entice" ab homine "away from man" (thus "beastly")

i don't have the statistics on the plebslop of ur making, only the Great Creator can judge that; just based on ur biography, it's mostly plebslop and SN revenue analytics for self-gain (aka slowly robbing the bank);

@Darthcoin, so what am i supposed to do, just start my own just territory (literally call it that) and start talking about Lex Rex and shit on wrong-thinkers? i suppose that is a decent approach, then scour other territories for contributors;
also, how is the metaphorical ~DeathStar coming along? u gonna be able to zap users into oblivion?

don't be silly and don't start vendettas here, is useless.

okay, so stacker.news needs many more reasonable personas before the bots take over; i am recruiting as many as i can find;

I don't understand what you are trying to achieve or do and why do you call me in this. If you want to spend your sats (like you did with that useless boost) on a new territory, go ahead, it's your choice.

Ok, now I understand clearly how channels and transactions work. Next step, learn how inbound and outbound liquidity works. I feel really dumb when the topic is ln.

As silly as it may sound, this video made me understand how liquidity works much better than any other explanation or analogy. I read a lot about it, and in just a few seconds of video everything I had read became clear in my mind. Now my next challenge is to learn how to manage that liquidity.

Just finished reading Geoffrey West's "Scale", which people have commented on here before. It was very interesting in regards to cities and urbanization, but the last chapter was a bit anti-climactic because I kept expecting him to discuss AI more prominently. He brings up Kurzweil and The Singularity, but he seemed pessimistic about it at the time. The book was published in 2017, so I guess that's to be expected. I wonder what he would add now that AI is taking off.
