I read somewhere that Lubian didn't roll their keys with enough entropy. Kinda dumb when you're holding over 100k Bitcoin.
That may be true, however I'm betting that is a cover story - designed to protect the intelligence agencies agents/methods.
Far more likely access to keys happened in a far more mundane way....
I don't think they were brute forced.
