Just finished reading Geoffrey West's "Scale", which people have commented on here before. It was very interesting in regards to cities and urbanization, but the last chapter was a bit anti-climactic because I kept expecting him to discuss AI more prominently. He brings up Kurzweil and The Singularity, but he seemed pessimistic about it at the time. The book was published in 2017, so I guess that's to be expected. I wonder what he would add now that AI is taking off.
