So, I do some freelance consulting and deliver coding lessons online (started recently) and getting paid in Bitcoin (lightning). So far so good.
But recently, I was approached by a new client, and when I insisted on not having to use Swift/FIAT rails, he said he can pay me in USDT or USDC instead, as he does not handle Bitcoin because of volatility.
Me, on the other hand, never handled stablecoins, really, and not even sure how to manage it. I use the Blockstream Green android wallet where I do see the option to receive Tether USD. So the two questions are
- Is the address given by Blockstream Green a static one allocated to me and valid forever? Or is it like a lightning invoice valid for a short duration and each payment requires me to generate it?
- What's the best way to convert the USDT to Sats without going to an exchange or KYC? Robosats?
