I was skeptical until a few months ago when my brother test drove a 'self driving' Tesla (FSD). He stopped by my place during his test drive and picked me up. On self drive mode the car backed out of my driveway, drove a few miles, made optimal lane changes, knew when to stop and accelerate. I was impressed. This car drives better than me! I noticed a couple small errors that I made driving on the same street.
My brother decided to lease a 'self-driving' Tesla. He says he uses FSD mode when driving home from work late at night. He says he can relax but not fall asleep at the wheel, literally.
Tesla tires are super sensitive btw... a few weeks ago he was parking his car on Wilshire and one tire 'exploded' because of broken glass but we blame this on Los Angeles.
