On a lovely September day a group of bitcoiners met for a picnic. We headed into the woods to enjoy a day of nature, adventure, family, and friends.
The event was held at a unique forest location with many rock formations.

If you enjoy watching My Lunch Break, a popular channel among Old World Civilization researchers, then you know these places have a rough history. Loaded with my Earth Runners grounding shoes, I was ready to connect to the earth and recharge.
You can also add grounding plugs called Ion Sync to your current shoes in order to receive some benefit. After everyone arrived we started the day with a brief yoga and sound bowl session. I recently traded in my chemical laden mat for a natural cork one from Scoria. The healing frequencies were a great way to set the tone of the day!

Have any stackers done a sound bowl bath? What was your experience like?
After we stretched out, we enjoyed a great potluck lunch and started on the raffle.
Tickets were earned by:
- Purchasing an event ticket (8,000 sats)
- Wearing orange or BTC swag
- Bringing a dish or a beverage to share
- Bringing a good or service to trade in the circular economy
- Participating & winning in lawn games
- Buying additional raffle tickets (2100 sats)
The raffle prizes were donated by Satoshi’s Sip, Soap Miner, BitcoinPainter, Born to be Free, Satoshi Coffee Co and Lawrence Leopard.
I use all these products on a regular basis for myself and my family. You should too! Sats are spendable and the lightning network works well! After the raffle, adults enjoyed their time chit-chatting while the kids started the sats hunt! Events like this are a good place to share information. I found out from one Mom that barefoot shoes for toddlers are the best footwear.
Now was time for the picnic's main event, top-rope rock climbing! The kids had a blast as they climbed up and down. The most difficult treasure (12,000 sats) was hidden high up on the rock wall, which was finally claimed by a courageous teenager.
All of the sats prizes hidden around the forest and on the wall were claimed, except one. Organizing an event of this size took a lot of effort. Thankfully we recouped a nice amount of sats for the effort to go to future club events (my dream is to establish a clubhouse in an Old World church).
What is the dream citadel location for your local btc meetup?
