LOL was pee for me. It’s 2025 and I’m still having to pee 6 to 8 times a day! I thought by now big pharma would have designed a pill to stop this madness
reply
That’s a lot. How about drinking less water instead of taking pills? If your pee comes out clear like water, it means you’re hydrated and don’t need to drink more.
reply
True but gotta stay hydrated!!

Do you take any trace minerals or salt with your water? If your water is purified it might not be hydrating you. I use this:

Sometimes I do but not as often as I should
reply
Yeah, everyone's gotta know how much water they need. Me, for example, half a liter of water a day is more than enough for a normal day.

Yet another distinctive day!
The girl whom I had trouble collecting homework from wrote me a book. Okay, strictly speaking, she ran out of steam by the fourth page, but Sensei won’t begrudge her efforts, considering her lackluster attitude towards homework. Suffice it to say that no one has ever been moved to write for enjoyment due to my presence before. She will be a memorable first!
Wrote English phrases and their Chinese equivalents for another student who is offering Higher Mother Tongue (Chinese) to lowkey flex my bilingualism. Actually, in an ideal world, I would have set up my own bespoke tuition agency that specialises in teaching composition writing for English and Chinese. Maybe I could build up my teaching resources through her.
Teaching. Every day is an adventure.

Is it normal to reject help from others?
I was getting into a shop yesterday with a friend, and it seemed some tourists were having trouble with the payment. My friend wanted to help, but the person pretended he understood the problem with his card and then left. I also wanted to help, but I didn't like his attitude, so I didn't say anything at the end.
I know city people usually put up their guard to protect themselves, but maybe they miss out on a lot if they're totally closed off to kindness.
For example, I recently met someone on the airplane, and the person who sat next to me invited me for coffee after some talk. I was a bit hesitant at first, but then I kept asking him different questions to get a sense of this person. It turned out really interesting! since he is from a place I have zero idea about. We went to dinner at the end, and he helped me so much while I was there. It's a wonderful feeling to meet a new friend in a completely new place.
I'm aware of the dangers out there, but it's quite sad if everyone is putting up walls to each other.

Sometimes I feel like some people are there to guide or help you if you're open to experience. It's not the first time I've met someone in a new place who helped so much.
reply
I don’t know if it’s normal, but I know people like that. I guess it could be for all kinds of reasons, we shouldn’t judge! I had a one-legged teacher who used crutches, and every now and then he’d fall, but he always refused any help.

Did you watch the videos showing someone calling many Churches and Mosques for help with her 2-month-old hungry baby?

But why need to act like a cold fish? Someone else was only trying to help and be kind. I guess most people are just used to being alone and to being told you are on your own, solve your own problem!
But in the culture where I'm used to, you offer a helping hand whenever you can, and you would be helped when you need.

Yeah, the reaction makes all the difference.

It's sad, most of them are doing something they hate, pretending to live the life, yet most are so lonely and disconnected from others.
